Family Members Plant the Fall Tulips

More than 2,000 new tulips will bloom in memory of loved ones who passed. With the help of 30 volunteers planted pink tulip bulbs in the four islands of the rotary with family members. The volunteers who placed tulips bulbs in the cold earth were embarking on planting the first Windham Hope Gardens the morning of October 19, 2008. The gardens is a way of creating cancer prevention awareness in the community, but is also a way to honor those people whose lives have been cut short by cancer and those people who've survived a diagnosis of cancer.

Members of Dana Plummers' family included Rep. Gary Plummer, her mother-in-law, Helen Plummer, her daughter, Sarah Elliot, and her granddaughter, Mariah-helped plant tulips in her memory this weekend at the Windham Rotary.

Visit Hope's Garden

Hope Garden is located at the rotary in Windham Maine. The Gardens were planted with volunteer help in memory of our parents. The winter has flown by and spring is here where the tulips are starting to break ground. Here are some pictures of the volunteers and family members planting tulip bulbs this past fall.
